Description
We adopted Fred in January, and he has been a total joy. Unfortunately, we are relocating out of state, and our new place is a dog free complex. About Fred: There was not a lot of information known from his background, but we can tell he had some basic training as he understands the typical commands (sit, come, stay). He is crate trained and sees that as his home. Totally an indoor dog, but will need a daily walk to get rid of some of his energy. He loves to play fetch, chew on his tug a war rope, and he sees himself as a lap dog. Potty training was a breeze, as he will walk and sit at the door when he needs to go out. He loves car rides too, and thankfully no motion sickness. Quirks: When he hears us getting his food he runs to his bowl and does a funny hop and sit right in front of his food mat. He has floppy ears, but only holds one up at a time, unless he's on high alert. Fred still needs more leash and people training. He pulls unless corrected a few times, and he thinks everyone he meets wants to play. Most people engage him, but I try to avoid small kids wanting to pet as he will jump too high for me to be comfortable with that. Overall, he's easy going, and sleeps all night, and naps for short periods throughout the day. He's okay by himself for a few hours. He had separation anxiety initially, but once he realized we will always come back he simply chills now. Some shedding so he does require brushing. His vet is Banfield, we groom him at Pet Smart, and we have taken him to day care at pet suites a few times. Everyone loves him, and have reported no problems when away from us. He does well in dog parks as well. You want need to buy anything as he will come with 2 dog beds, his crate, toys, t-shirts (yes, we are those pet people), 2 retractable leashes, bowls/mat (1 slow feeder), bathing supplies, treats, and whatever food he has left. We are asking for a small rehome fee, but will let you decide what's fair.
