New to the area. I play bassoon and I'm interested to hear how bassoon can fit into the arrangement and performance of folk music especially English Country Dance, French and Breton fiddle tunes. There is precedent for this with Blowzabella; they had bassoon in their line-up. So that band as well as the Albion County Band, Brass Monkey--really anything that involves the English Folk Revival of the 1970s is relevant as an influence, up to and including The Incredible String Band. I know--I was alive and listening then. That's how old I am but I am young at heart. Looking to collaborate and even go on the road. I am also a composer and arranger.
