These scams are so transparent. They use the same rude replies when you refuse to help. I saw a similar post to this “CON” six months ago. Don’t give money or cards as it’s NOT a homeless down and out story it’s a “CON”. I take care of the elderly and they are so empathetic to others misfortunes... I wish Craigslist could do more.
