Yard Forman Daily Responsibilities Occasional part runs, Maintaining shop / yard cleanliness and organization, visual inspection of vehicles and equipment, Documentation of any work orders needed. Staging equipment with the use of a truck and trailer as well as heavy and light machinery, Mixing of liquid De-Icer, work with dedicated snow laborers to ensure that supplies are stocked and vehicles and equipment are in working order, equipment repairs that require moderate mechanical aptitude. Snow Storm Responsibilities Pre-Storm Work with dedicated snow laborers to ensure that supplies are stocked, vehicles and equipment are in working order and crews are available; Work with Managers to put plan in place to flex-up for large or prolonged storms, including extra equipment and second shifts of laborers. During-Storm Documentation of start, stop times from employees and subcontractors; Documentation using SiteFotos mobile app to take pictures of proof of work, and verification of needs. Documentation of work orders needed, and coordination of labor crew to complete the work to DCPS standards. Problem solve, and move crews around per the needs of each individual property. Prioritize the work based on the timing of the storm, and the needs of the route. Executing quality control efforts after a snowstorm, drive a deicing truck to apply product as needed. Other projects as needed. Post-Storm Coordinate wit direct supervisor to ensure daily inspections are being done to identify and remediate thaw-refreeze issues; Ensure that properties are restocked between storms as well as equipment inspected and cleaned. Work Environment: Incumbents primarily work outdoors where you will experience frequent exposure to outside elements. Where temperature, weather, noise, and or landscaping may be unpleasant and or hazardous. Must be able to execute snow management services for long hours. Will be managing teams, crews and subcontractors to deliver quality services. Must be able to work overnight hours effectively. Schedule: Typical schedule is Monday through Friday 8am -5pm Open availability when snow storm is pending, Flexible, Days, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays. Requirements: 2+ years of Landscape and snow removal experience preferred Experience working out in the field for snow removal operations, preferred. Valid Driver’s license. Advanced Communication Skills, Both Written and Verbal (bilingual in SPANISH a plus) Proficient in the SPANISH Language preferred SPANISH language/translation preferred Highly Organized; Production and Planning Skills Required Ability to operate truck and trailer as well as skid steer Moderate mechanical aptitude Ability to work efficiently unsupervised Related keywords: construction, electrician
