BURLINGTON, MA — Burlington's coronavirus numbers held steady in the latest town-by-town report from the Department of Public Health, while the state's vaccination count gives cause for hope. The town's positive test rate over the last two weeks was 2.83 percent, up from 2.8 percent the week before. The caseload fell from 74 to 67, with the latest cases bringing the town to 1,792 total. The vaccination drive continues to hold good news. One in five Burlington residents has been fully vaccinated, according to the latest state data. And more than a third of the town has gotten at least one shot. >>Town-By-Town Coronavirus Stats: MA Hits 600K Cases The state reported its 600,000th case Thursday. The state labeled 55 communities as high risk for the coronavirus Thursday in the latest town-by-town report from the Department of Public Health, up from 32 in the previous report. The full list of high-risk communities is available at the end of this story. The seven-day average positive test rate for the state rose to 2.49 percent, up from 2.39 percent a week prior.
