Staff Zone in Huntsville has job opportunities for experienced Form/Rough Carpenters. The pay range is between $16/hr to $20/hr. This is a 40+ hour week position that will have overtime potential. Hours are generally 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. although schedules could change due to production needs so flexibility is important. Duties: • Possess strong carpentry skills for constructing and removing formwork for structural tilt up, and paving concrete. Formwork includes job-built forms and/or formwork systems, reveals, chamfers, pour stops. • Establish grades/elevations using a builder’s level for concrete work • Construct forms and chutes for placing concrete • Construct protection systems • Install blockouts and sleeves in elements being formed • Possess strong abilities in concrete placing & finishing techniques for walls, column, slabs, and paving • Setting and tying rebar as applicable • Install metal embeds, bolts, and accessories to be cast into concrete • Construct provisions for keyways and water proofing applications • Mix bagged concrete for small placements per manufacturer instructions • Chip, scrape, and grind high spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete, using pneumatic chisels, power grinders, or hand tools to achieve the desired finish • Willingness and ability to perform other carpentry and labor related duties as they arise • Maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees. • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision Requirements • Must be at least 18 years old • Must have steel toe work boots • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (including but not limited to drug screen) • Must have own tools such as: o Hammer o Tape Measure o Chalk Line o Carpenter's Pencil o Utility Knife o Tin Snips o Nail Puller o Speed Square o Framing Square o Levels o Wood Chisel (1 inch) Please visit our Huntsville office to apply, and bring proper identification to complete an I-9 form. 2513 Washington St NW Huntsville, AL 35811 Phone: 256-964-7272 About Us: Staff Zone provides temporary workers for commercial construction, industrial, and special events companies.
