PUYALLUP, WA — The state is about to massively expand vaccine eligibility and the Tacoma - Pierce County Health Department will be ramping up their vaccination drives to match, but they'll need community support if they want to get as many people vaccinated as possible. That's why the department has put out the call for more volunteers to assist with their COVID-19 vaccination clinics. Everyone is welcome to help out, the department says they need both clinicians to help administer shots and non-clinicians for other support. You can sign up to volunteer by clicking the links below: Community vaccination event clinicians.Non-clinical volunteers for community vaccination events.Clinical and non-clinical volunteers for small vaccination events. The health department has their work cut out for them: on Wednesday, an estimated 2 million more Washingtonians became eligible for vaccination, and on April 15 everyone 16 and older will qualify for a shot. !t's really happening! Starting April 15, everyone over 16 will be eligible to receive the vaccine! Make plans now to get yours. https://t.co/CjMA3U1epY pic.twitter.com/xWkGuaJDNC— Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department (@TPCHD) March 31, 2021
