DENVER, CO — More than 4,200 coronavirus outbreaks have been reported in Colorado since the pandemic began, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Some stores and restaurants continue to report outbreaks in Denver's metro area, despite climbing vaccination rates. Denver stores and restaurants have strict cleaning procedures and coronavirus safety measures in place; however, some businesses are dealing with ongoing outbreaks, some of which have lasted months since they were first detected. Here is a list of active outbreaks at stores and chain restaurants in Denver as of Wednesday: King Soopers Commercial Bakery, 60 Yuma St: Since this outbreak was first reported in mid-November, 16 cases have been confirmed among staff, state public health data shows.Whole Foods - Tamarac, 7400 E Hampden Ave: Since this outbreak was detected in October, 46 cases have been reported among staff.Sprouts, 3625 E Colfax Ave: This small outbreak was first reported among staff in late December. Since then, three cases have been confirmed, the data shows.Bass Pro Shop, 7970 Northfield Blvd: This outbreak among staff was first reported March 9 — since then, eight cases have been confirmed.Chik-fil-A, 7785 E Hampden Ave: Since March 16, three cases have been reported among staff.Trader Joe's, 750 Colorado Blvd: three cases have been reported among staff since March 4, the state data shows.
