JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — More than 4,200 coronavirus outbreaks have been reported in Colorado since the pandemic began, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Some stores and restaurants continue to report outbreaks in Denver's metro area, despite climbing vaccination rates. Jefferson County restaurants and stores have strict cleaning procedures and coronavirus safety measures in place; however, some businesses are dealing with ongoing outbreaks due to the number of people who visit them each week. Some outbreaks have lasted more than two months since they were first detected. Here is a list of active outbreaks at chain restaurants and stores in Jefferson County as of Wednesday: Camping World of Denver, 16000 W Colfax Ave., Golden: 20 coronavirus cases have been reported at the store since March 23, according to state public health data.Applejack Wine and Spirits, 3320 Youngfield St., Wheat Ridge: Since this small outbreak was first reported March 23, three cases have been confirmed at the business, the data shows.Gander RV & Outdoors of Denver, 9870 W 48th Ave., Wheat Ridge: Since March 29, three cases have been reported.Walmart, 5957 W 44th Ave., Lakeside: Since Jan. 25, eight cases have been reported among employees.The Keg, 14065 W Colfax Dr, Lakewood: Since this outbreak was first reported March 8, two cases have been confirmed.Don't miss the latest coronavirus updates from health and government officials in Lakewood, Arvada and Littleton.
