Austin PD Seeks Help ID'ing New Suspect In Barbershop Shooting

AUSTIN, TX — Austin police are seeking the public's help in identifying a third suspect involved in a North Austin shooting that put four people in the hospital on March 12. Police said Friday the third suspect was a man between the age of 18 and 23 last seen wearing a red Nike hoodie, light-colored Nike shorts, white socks with slide sandals carrying a handgun. The man is believed to be connected with two other men who were carrying firearms and shot multiple rounds at patrons at Barbershop Midtown in the 7400 block of Cameron Road around 8:01 p.m. Friday, March 12. Three people were treated and released and another person remained in the hospital in critical condition on March 24. The motive for the attack remains unknown. Police said the two gunmen were last seen driving away from the scene driving a dark-colored four-door sedan (possibly a Hyundai car) and a light-colored four-door sedan (possibly a Honda Accord car) between the model year 2010 and 2015. He then walked into Barbershop at Midtown before exiting back out the front as shots were fired at customers fleeing out the back. The man was last seen climbing into the light-colored sedan before the cars drove away. Officials said if you spot either of the suspects involved in this violent attack or the vehicles, do not approach. Call 911 immediately instead.
