For the first installment of our ongoing series Great Wines of the World, we are proud to showcase Krug Champagne. Krug is arguably the finest Champagne in the world and also one of the best to pair with food.
Join our team at Bacchus & Books and Chef Brett McKee as you are transported to France for a culinary experience that demonstrates not only the immense quality and complexity of Krug, but also how this most celebratory of wines can bring out the best in a variety of dishes.
Champagne of Krug's caliber is not simply an apéritif! This magical wine offers exceptional versatility at the table. Each course of Chef McKee's dinner will be paired with a different cuvée of Krug and the evening will conclude with a special Sauternes to accompany the dessert.
Each installment of our Great Wines of the World series is also an interactive experience, featuring the people "behind the label". For this event, we will be joined by Jamie Soriano from Krug who will be telling us all about this fascinating Champagne house. We will also enjoy a special video presentation created for Bacchus & Books by the Krug team in France.
Lastly, we will be randomly selecting the name of one dinner guest who will receive a special gift from Krug to take home at the end of the night.
This will be a truly unique evening and a celebration of the glory of Champagne paired with exceptional cuisine!
