Bassist needed for the Robin Gottfried Band
Meets
Burlington VT
Description
Hi there! I'm a Burlington singer/songwriter who started an original project about 5 years ago, the Robin Gottfried Band. We are essentially trying to book gigs not more than an hour from Burlington. Hopefully, in time, this will lead to warm ups for shows at larger venues like the Flynn Theatre, Champlain Fair, Higher Ground, local festivals and concert series, etc. But in the meantime we're predominately playing the clubs as we try to establish a local fan base. Of course, the year off we just had due to Covid 19 didn't help any... At the moment, we're performing mostly originals chosen from my 10 previous albums. Here's the band site: http://zoerobin.com/robin_gottfried_band. You'll find videos and mp3's. You can also hear more of my songs on my YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/user/robingottfried or my home site: http://zoerobin.com You'll find our gig schedule on the site as well, although I'm only now starting to research gigs after receiving my 2nd Covid vaccination. :) We're experienced musicians with a professional ethic that reflects the time we've put into our artistic endeavors, and while age doesn't really matter, we are looking for musicians at the same level. You must be experienced in live performance and have a competent level of playing. Recorded samples of your playing are requested as we'd prefer to review your work rather than do auditions, so please only respond if you've got some recorded samples of your work available. Even a cell phone recording is okay, as we can hear the potential in anything. Stylistically, the music is influenced by the likes of Little Feat, Bruce Hornsby, Steely Dan, Sting, Neville Brothers, Beatles, Joni Mitchell, etc. Again, please listen to the songs first to determine not only if you'd be into spending time learning the songs, but could also feel good about playing them repeatedly. And, please do keep in mind, the clubs in general are not paying much. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Cheers, Robin
