LAKEWOOD, OH — Lakewood police will again enforce rush hour parking zones starting April 12. During the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Lakewood police stopped enforcing rush hour parking zones. As the world increasingly inches toward normal, police will begin enforcing the parking zones again. "We are trying to get the word out to our citizens that we will be enforcing those zones in the near future ," Lakewood Police Chief Kevin Kaucheck said. Rush hour parking zones are in effect, in marked areas, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Starting April 12, police will begin ticketing violators. On April 19, police will begin ticketing and towing violators, Kaucheck told Patch.
