Description

Is your teen a night owl who stays up late at night, rising late in the morning, and experiences associated impairment in daytime functioning?  If so, the UCLA Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences is recruiting adolescents aged 13-16 with delayed sleep and wake patterns for a research study involving 6 sessions of videoconference-delivered group cognitive behavioral therapy plus morning light therapy, and your child may be eligible.  Participation involves: An initial eligibility evaluation over videoconferencing6 weekly, 90-minute, videoconference-delivered cognitive behavioral therapy sessions plus morning, wearable light therapyContinuous sleep monitoring using a sleep watch and diaryIn-person 6.5-7 hour pre- and post-intervention assessment of melatonin onset and immune functioning, and internet questionnaires.Compensation of up to $300 is provided.Please email [email protected] to determine if your child may be eligible.
