CHARLOTTE, NC — Less than one day after asking for the community's help in locating suspects involved in the shooting of three juveniles including a 7-year-old girl, Charlotte police arrested three men they said are connected to the crime. The juveniles were shot in two separate, but related incidents, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said. Tuesday afternoon, two teenage boys were targeted in a drive-by shooting in a northwest Charlotte street. Hours later and about a mile away, a 7-year-old girl was struck by stray gunfire, caught in the crossfire of a shooting in the parking lot of an apartment complex. By Wednesday evening, police said the investigation led to the arrests of three suspects they say are connected to the apartment complex parking lot shooting that left the little girl with serious injuries.
