Description

We are currently looking for a hardworking individual to work as a Packer with a national busy and growing specialty chemical company in Santa Fe Springs. The Packer will make boxes to place in 4 x 1 gallon pails/cans, push through the machine to seal, and place sealed boxes on pallets. Will also be responsible to fill out forms to note the date boxed, get boxed items quantity, and have the shipping department sign off on delivery of packaged items. DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES: -Accurate weighing of materials. -Safely and securely pack various size/shape containers that can be very small parts and larger parts up to 5 gallon tanks and containers -Proper labeling and palletizing -Moving material to prepare for packing and shipping -Following the production schedule. -General Labor in the plant as needed. -Working overtime when necessary. -Adherence to all department procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's). REQUIREMENTS: -Experience in a manufacturing plant handling warehouse duties -Lift and move light to heavy containers- up to 30lbs-50lbs -Any Forklift experience is a plus, will train an certify -Strong Verbal and Written skills -Great attitude, self -starter, and history of excellent attendance. -Follow all safety rules, must wear Steel Toe Shoes Hours –Mon-Fri, 7am to 3:30 (start time is flexible) (OT) Hourly pay rate- $15.00 per hour
