Description
How do you tell a good story in under 60 seconds? In what ways can you apply professional filmmaking techniques to improve a video made with no set, only yourself as a performer, and a single smartphone for a camera?
This 90-minute online remote course strips the TikTok, YouTube, and Snapchat video production process down to its elements. Together we'll examine the common visual and storytelling tools employed by online video creators and use this understanding to produce our own engaging, entertaining, and "like"-worthy content. With a little bit of pre-production planning, some clever camera tricks, and a good supply of creative energy, you’ll be able to produce anything you can imagine.
This course will be hosted over Zoom. Classes will be small and interpersonal, so students are welcome to come with specific questions about their video ideas. Our instructor, Pedro, is a pioneer of experimental media and avid enthusiast of “no stress” media production.
