I acquired this normal whiteface cockatiel as a breeder because I was looking for a mate for my pearly cockatiel hen. They don't get along and he keeps trying to get together with another bird that is part of a successful breeding pair. I don't know if he will breed if he has only one hen to choose from.
He is not tame. I know nothing about his past. I would like to swap him for a healthy breeding age male cockatiel that is pearly or split to pearly.
I prefer not to get one that is pied or split to pied because I want his pearl female babies to show the full markings.
Alternatively, I would rehome him for a $150 rehoming fee. It is possible that someone could tame him as a pet, but having no history for him, I can't know if he could become a good pet.
My first choice is to trade him for a healthy breeding age male.
