HIRING ADVERTISEMENT Position: Garden Manager Status: Seasonal Rate range: $15.00/hr. - 20 hours per week (April 19th-October 8th) Summary Under the direction of the Senior Asset Manager works to ensure our Gardens and Garden Program is maintained and the gardens are ready for tenant gardeners throughout the HomeFront (formerly known as Housing Authority) Properties. Minimum requirements 1. At least a High School diploma or G.E.D. 2. Knowledge and experience in gardening: Minimum 3 years’ experience growing vegetables in the Billings area or in similar growing conditions using gardening knowledge and techniques. Experience in greenhouse production, landscaping, drip irrigation, and tree maintenance preferred. 3. Strong skills in working with people of diverse backgrounds, including youth and adults 4. Skills in conflict management and public speaking 5. Ability to work independently and be flexible 6. Organizational skills 7. Availability to work a schedule that includes daytime, evening, and weekend hours. (regular work hours are between 8 and 5 pm Monday-Friday). 8. Montana driver’s license or able to get one.
