We are on the hunt for a skilled and reliable Handyman to join our team. You will be responsible for all upkeep and repair duties including maintaining green spaces, identifying the need for repairs, responding to maintenance requests, servicing company equipment and keeping things in good running order. We’ll rely on you to keep our facilities in perfect condition by doing various odd jobs. To be an effective handyman, you will be skilled and hard-working, with outstanding problem-solving abilities. Skillful hands, good physical stamina, and strong technical knowledge are important parts of the successful candidates’ talents. You must be able to lift at least 50 lbs, and you should be proficient with hand and power tools. Responsibilities: Perform basic tasks including repairing and painting drywall, filling crevices in sidewalks, clean facilities and managing maintenance repairs. Perform minor repairs on company machinery, equipment or appliances. Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs. Regularly check community spaces to identify issues with litter, mechanical failure or breakdowns. Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces such as parking lots and sidewalks. Oversee the sprinkler system and trash containers on the company premises. Conduct performance assessments of company appliances, such as refrigerators, microwaves, stoves, ovens and coffee makers. Perform maintenance and light repairs Perform routine landscaping on the grounds Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs Other duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g. shoveling snow) Identify and report the need for major repairs Assist with trim carpentry or exterior siding Perform basic electrical and plumbing maintenance Schedule and manage vehicle maintenance Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification required. A minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a similar role. Basic experience with plumbing and electrical systems. Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment. Extremely organized with good communication skills. Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving. Proven experience as handyman Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems Basic math skills Good communication ability Attention to detail Hours will vary but will be a minimum of 20 hours and up to 40 hours per week.
