Barrington Plaza Realty is looking for a Skilled Maintenance Technician! Job Details: Salary: $16 - $20 an hour Job Type: Full-time Number of hires for this role: 1 Full Job Description We’re seeking a highly motivated maintenance professional with past experience maintaining residential properties. The property, located in DeKalb, IL contains around 70 units that will require maintenance, repair operations, and an all around handyman. Experience with some electrical and plumbing required. HVAC knowledge is a plus. We are looking for someone that would be local and available to respond in a timely manner especially/specifically in an emergency situation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in running and maintaining rental units. Bilingual is a huge plus. Does this sound like you? -Past maintenance position in Multifamily buildings -Self-starter -Some electrical/plumbing experience Responsibilities: Be the first point of contact for any maintenance and repair work. Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, state and federal laws; eg, OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, etc. Remain available to perform work orders and routine/preventative and deferred maintenance tasks in addition to ad hoc projects Ability to perform landscaping, snow/ice removal and keeping grounds neat and free of litter Assist in the collection of bids and procurement of outside services and/or vendors for contract or repair work. Maintain accurate records & document resolutions regarding preventive maintenance, work orders (received and completed), expenditures, apartment make-ready status, work-in-progress, etc. Remain aware of the condition of physical property throughout the community and immediately notify management of any unsafe conditions; e.g., broken gates/fences, broken steps, open holes, broken/burned out exterior lights and documents appropriately. Assist in scheduling and performing minor and routine maintenance on all appropriate equipment on a regular basis. *Must be willing to undergo Background Check/Drug Test Rely Services is an EOE.
