BUSY 80's Band Seeks Lead Guitarist--NOW!

We are a female fronted 80’s band from the Glen Ellyn/Lisle area with agent representation and summer gigs booked with more in the works. We have previously played with acts like 7th Heaven and Infinity and will be doing a combination of headlining and opening shows this summer and beyond. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to be a long-term member of a relatively new band with a lot of momentum and potential. We are seeking a dedicated guitarist who can learn our full set relatively quickly and be ready to perform shows with us as soon as June 2021! We play a mix of 80's and a few late 70's covers in 4 main Genres: Rock (Tom Petty, Pat Benatar, Billy Idol) Dance (Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince) Pop (Go-Go's, George Michael, Duran Duran) New Wave (Blondie, Cars, Police) Qualifications include: Must be accomplished, solid lead and rhythm guitarist with some background vocal ability Must be a quick study and able to learn songs and solos quickly but also correctly Must be dedicated and not be involved in more than one other musical project Must have diverse playing style--and be willing to play all styles of 80's music including dance songs by artists like Michael Jackson, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Prince and others as well as 80's New Wave, pop, and rock songs Must have several years live performing experience in clubs, festivals or large events and good stage presence. Must also be ok with dressing with an 80's style for shows and photo shoots. Must have quality equipment suitable for large shows Must be within the approximate age range of 35 to 55 years old Must live within 45 mins of our Glen Ellyn practice area and have reliable transportation Must be familiar with and have some appreciation of various 80's music, artists, genres and songs (other than hard rock/ hair metal). Must be available for one week night evening practice each week and 2 -4 weekend gigs per month. Must be hardworking but with a fun attitude and sense of humor. Experience with running sound and PA set up is a huge plus, bigger plus if you own your own PA equipment Must be available and willing to do what is needed to be able to play shows as soon as June 2021 If you feel you are up for the challenge please respond to this post today!
