Powers Products is an architectural design and build firm. We are currently seeking Foremen for Daylighting and Overhead Door divisions. JOB SUMMARY Performs a wide variety of duties related to construction, installation and the assembly of architectural products. Is a leader on the job site and frequently interacts with Contractors, Architects and Owners. Essential Functions • Professional representation of Powers in the field • Unload/load material from/to trucks and trailers • Distribute material to final location • Follows and trains installers & laborers on Powers Safety policies, products, installation procedures • Read and follow contract drawings & product installation procedures • Train installers & laborers on reading contract drawings • Assesses jobsite hazards and plans accordingly • Provides direction to laborers and installers • Takes direction from Superintendent & Project Manager • Learns to communicate with GC superintendent and conveying necessary information to Powers Project Manager • Learns to field measure for products • Able to manage small projects with small crews (2-4 men) of installers and laborers. • Learns quality control expectations • Pre-planning of install to ensure materials, equipment, tools, and jobsite readiness • Operate required equipment • Documents field activities effectively QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Reliable with strong work ethic • Mechanical aptitude and comfort level operating hand and power tools • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to make calculations • Ability to read and follow contract drawings & product installation procedures • Experience leading a small crew • Ability to organize and perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice • Recognize problems and ask questions • Professional demeanor and attitude • Mindset for quality • Desire to learn and grow in or business • Ability to work independently and with a team • Must have own set of basic tools • Ability to travel out of town/overnight occasionally • Ability to work overtime and/or after hours as necessary Education • High School Diploma or GED Work Experience • 2 years construction experience preferred • 1 year experience leading or supervising a team
