Description
There are currently over 13,500 children in foster care in Maricopa County. Many who struggle with self-esteem and academic set backs. With just 8 hours a month, you can help one of these abused, neglected or abandoned children in foster care to improve their outcomes both academically and personally. Find out more today about joining Arizonans for Children's Tutor/Mentor Program where full training, background checks and support are provided. Tutor Mentors commit to a minimum one year relationship with a school aged foster child, ages 5-18, to assist that child with academics and personal development. By joining the social network of community members who care about a youth, the Tutor/Mentor can help that youth develop and reach positive academic, career and personal goals. The commitment is not limited to one year and a long-term relationship is encouraged and supported.
