About the Position: Our client is Printing technology that transformed human culture and society immeasurably. They are currently looking for a 3rd Shift Material Handler for Inspection Job Duties and Responsibilities: The person in this position must work as support for the Inspection Department (and support the Warehouse Team as needed) Will work to support Inspectors, Inspection Foreman, the Inspection Group Leader, and the Production Supervisors (as needed basis) Employee will need to learn all facets of the Inspection department’s operations From material handling and packaging of the finished goods, to operation of the inspection machine, and learn paperwork of the Inspection Department Employee will be trained to drive forklift and clamp trucks: Work as Material Handler to put rolls into and take rolls out of curing ovens Work as Finished Good Packer (wrap and palletize finished rolls) Specific Job Functions will include (but not be limited to the following) Keep Inspection department Clean, Organized, and Safe Loading In-Process rolls into the Aging Chambers with Forklift truck After Aging, use Forklift truck to set up the Inspection machines with the proper In-Process rolls (to be inspected – or packaged on the packaging platform) Package and palletize all Finished Goods rolls with proper pallets, boxes, strapping, roll chocks, and proper labeling Move these pallets to designated areas when finished with palletization Ask questions for any specific needs or areas that you do not understand Tools include, but are not limited to: Forklift, Clamp truck, pallet jack, pneumatic staple guns, battery operated banding tool, banding cutters, knives, cut resistant gloves, etc. Position will report directly to Inspection Foreman and the Inspection Group Leader Indirect reporting to Pressroom Manager and the Production Supervisors Career path could possibly lead to Inspector position or Shipper/Receiver position in the warehouse or possible transfer within the company KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Seeing: Must be able to read instructions and reports Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with coworkers. Normal Color Vision: Must be able to match colors and spot defects Lifting up to 50 pounds, Pulling/Pushing Fingering, grasping/feeling Must be able to reach with hands and arms Benefits and Perks Paying: $16.50 in hour Temp to hire position.
