The Trash Valet is responsible to protect and improve the overall appearance of the property and ensure timely removal of resident’s trash and debris in a timely manner. Essential Job Functions • Walk the property daily to maintain “curb appeal” • Inspect all common areas, walkways, hallways and laundry rooms and picking up trash for removal • Remove trash from the designated location near resident’s apartments • Maintain good resident relations by providing excellent customer service to all residents Physical Requirements This job regularly performs work in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme heat and/or cold, near moving mechanical parts. This job involves exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, vibration and dust. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision • 1 year experience in a janitorial role • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally in order to communicate issues, problems, ideas, concerns and information on work progress • Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public • Ability to exercise schedule flexibility to accomplish set goals
