Masonry Sales Representatives Foremen Skilled Masons Laborers Job Type: Full-time; Temporary to permanent Requirements: See Descriptions below; Transportation, hand tools, work boots Our focus is retaining wall construction as well as various masonry construction and repairs. We are looking for applicants that are hard-working, responsible, and organized. These are full-time temporary to permanent positions paying hourly, working M-F from 7am to 4pm at various locations throughout the week. Masonry Sales Representatives will do the following: • Have a working knowledge of masonry products (stone, block, brick, stucco, concrete), various types of wall and stone bed structures • Promptly respond to sales calls, emails, or text messages • Travel to various prospective job sites • Use a solutions-based approach to a prospective customer’s needs and desired results whether aesthetic, structural or functional by increasing knowledge of products to best meet a customer’s expectations. • Survey area including land grade (sloping, cliffs, etc.); topography (rocky soil, sandy, existing concrete, etc.) • Take measurements for prospective projects • Build relationships by maintaining an outgoing and friendly personality • Promptly get quotes to respective bidders. • Provide weekly updates to management on sales activities and customer calls Foremen will do the following: • Assisting field employees with technical tasks and perform skilled work and general labor if needed while managing and overseeing your crew; delegating responsibilities to workers based on their skills and giving clear instructions • Reading and following plans/blueprints/sketches • Monitor quality of work and enforce safety precautions • Training new workers in different construction scopes and safety measures • Motivating workers to work with higher efficiency and ensuring a quality end product and completed in a timely manner • Clearly communicate supplies and material needs • Create progress reports and time logs on a daily basis and ensure that any significant information is communicated to project managers and owner • Handle onsite incidents and emergencies in a proactive manner Skilled Masons must be experienced in the following: • Stone masonry, block masonry, brick masonry, concrete and stucco finishing • Construction of various types of retaining walls • Skillful in stone, block and brick repair Skilled Laborers will do the following: • Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards • Load or unload building materials • Mix and prepare masonry cement, mortar, and grout to specifications • Build or take apart scaffolding, bracing, and temporary structures • Dig trenches, backfill holes, or compact earth to prepare for construction • Operate or tend equipment and machines used in construction (saws, drills, etc.) • Follow construction plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers • Assist craftworkers with their duties *Skilled laborers work on all construction sites, performing a wide range of tasks varying in complexity from very easy to extremely difficult and hazardous.
