U.S Lawns of Ocean County is looking for an experienced people like you to train to supervise Crew members in completing work at our commercial sites. We are a full service Landscape Maintenance Company seeking qualified applicants are ready to advance in the Green Industry and train for a Crew Leader position. You must have: a valid Driver's License with a good driving record, A minimum of 3 yrs experience in commercial landscaping, good knowledge of landscape machinery and equipment, experienced in turf cutting with commercial equipment, shrub trimming, line trimming, backpack blowers, flower and shrub planting, a positive attitude, and a strong willingness to learn. General list of Duties: As a Crew leader Trainee, you will learn to: Supervise and coordinate the activities of a crew for the landscape maintenance of our commercial property accounts; Proper operation of driving a truck & Trailer to or from worksites; Assign daily tasks to crew; Ensure crews compliance with quality and safety standards; Train and evaluate the effectiveness of the crew. Monitor proper use of required personal protective equipment on crew; Ensures proper use, care and inventory of company vehicles, equipment and tools assigned, sharpen tools such as mower blades, edging tools, and shears; make minor repairs on equipment such as lawn mower, spreaders, and snow removal equipment. While training, you will be working as a gardener/laborer cutting lawns, trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls; prune shrubs and trees; rakes and bag leaves; clean grounds and remove litter; seed and sod lawns; install and/or transplant trees, shrubs, and other plant material; plant grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs. To Qualify for this position, we require: A valid NJ Drivers License with an excellent driving record A minimum of 3 years professional landscape experience.
