Description

Cute bunnies similar to the first photo are available for adoption at: https://www.laanimalservices.com/looking-for-a-rabbit/ https://www.bunnybunchboutique.com/home https://www.rabbitrescue.com/ https://www.larabbits.org/ Please don't buy a bunny for your kids for Easter unless you are a responsible parent. Rabbits are not low maintenance pets, they poop and pee a lot and require so much cleaning. Rabbits are not always very friendly and they are often very scared animals. A baby bunny might look cute but when it grows up, it can be very territorial and bite and scratch if you don't spay or neuter it. Rabbits can live up to 12 years, are your kids willing to care for it for that long? Rabbits do not belong in small cages. They become very depressed when they are behind bars like this. They can use a litter box the same way that cats do and should either free roam around the house or be set up in a 5 x 5 foot pen where they can stretch their legs and run around. Rabbits also do not deserve to sit around all day in a wired cage with no flooring. Imagine if you had to stand with your bare feet on wire all day! You'd probably develop cuts and bruises on the bottom of your feet! Rabbits should not live outside. They can die from spider bites, rats can bite them and try to eat them, as well as cats and raccoons. Loose outdoor dogs can even knock over outdoor rabbit cages and tear your bunny to pieces. There are also many parasites outside such as ringworm, tapeworm, fleas that can infect your outdoor rabbit. If your rabbit gets sick or injured, the vet is very expensive! Rabbits are only seen by exotic veterinarians who charge more for office visits. You'll probably be spending TRIPLE THE AMOUNT OR MORE than what you paid for the rabbit on vet visits. Rabbits require timothy hay and lots of it. They should only be fed a little bit of pellets and offered rabbit safe vegetables which you can find online. Instead of buying a rabbit from a backyard breeder, please consider adopting one from your local animal shelter or local rabbit rescue. They have many socialized nice rabbits that are friendly because volunteers take time to train them and socialize them. Please contact the links mentioned above for rabbit adoptions. They have very small rehoming fees.
