This is the perfect opportunity for the "burnt out" crew leader, foreman, or manager - someone who has the experience, knowledge and understanding of what is required to complete a job, but is feeling underappreciated or overwhelmed. This position has some flexibility of hours and days worked - very helpful if you have family obligations or young children. This is not an hourly rate position. You will be paid well for the work completed. The minimum requirement could easily fit within a 4 day work week and equate to approximately $30 per hour. If you work more/faster - you will be paid more. You will almost always be working by yourself. Most jobs you will perform solo with a machine, truck and trailer, wheelbarrow, shovels and power tools (all provided) at locations throughout the charlotte area. The requirements: - someone who is of quality character and who likes taking ownership of their tasks - someone who is tired of managing crew members and/or customers on landscaping projects - must understand basic grading principles and have a good eye for pitch/slope - can skillfully use basic hand tools and power tools - can safely load, operate and haul a skidsteer - can perform basic lube maintenance on the equipment - do not mind getting dirty, dusty or muddy at times - can drive and maneuver a heavy duty truck (2500/3500) with attached dump trailer in a responsible manner - can effectively manage your own time without supervision - can clearly and efficiently communicate over the phone and through email - are willing to take progress pictures with a cell phone and upload them to construction software - can handle a company credit card honestly and retain ALL receipts - be willing to perform more or other items not limited to this description as required Doing physical (not strenuous) work and seeing what you have accomplished everyday can be rewarding. Having a job that allows you to determine your own system or method in order to do things efficiently can be satisfying. Becoming proficient at a job like this which does not require a lot from you emotionally and mentally can contribute significantly to your wellbeing. References and background check may be requested.
