Electrical Technician for Residential and Commercial

Description

Work will consist of installation, alterations, additions, and/or repairs of data & fiber electrical systems equipment, and associated materials within the electrical construction industry. Daily operations include performing assigned functions following Carolina Electrical’s policies and procedures and assist in achieving the company’s goals, and objectives. A minimum of 1-year of experience with electrical work is required, and additional training is provided (to those motivated to learn). Compensation for this position varies by experience, wages starting between $15-$18/hour RESPONSIBILITIES: • Connect wires to lights and circuit breakers • Test and diagnose issues with electrical systems • Fix any issues that come up or contact the proper third party vendors for replacement parts • Install new circuit breakers, alarms, and other electrical products • Recognize slight differences in planes, shapes, or shading to envision 2-dimensional pictures and diagrams as 3- dimensional objects. • Accurately install conduit, wire, pre-fab assemblies, panel boards, light fixtures, devices, and other equipment per layout. • Connect wiring to light fixtures, power equipment, motors, devices, and other electrical apparatus, using hand tools and power tools. • May repair faulty equipment or systems • Coordinate installation with other trades. • Responsible for getting materials and proper tools together to complete the assigned tasks. • Must be able to work within precise limits and standards of accuracy and perform a variety of duties that often change. • Must possess a complete understanding of construction drawings and details • Must have a valid South Carolina driver’s license. • Must have reliable transportation to and from the office
