Manhattan Yacht Club is looking for positive, can-do type of individual to maintain our fleet of sailboats. Great role for recent college graduate who prefers outdoors. About Us: Manhattan Yacht Club is the premier sailing club in New York Harbor with over 400 members. Manhattan Sailing School is the Club’s public arm and is one of the top sailing schools in the U.S. Our clubhouse/office/fleet is located in downtown Jersey City, at a marina. Job Description: Includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks: • Maintaining fleet of sailboats – tuning, replacing parts, filling gas tanks • Keeping tidy the J/24 Maintenance Shed • Watching inventory of parts and alerting when purchases are needed • Ad hoc projects as assigned Requirements: • Positive attitude and flexibility for various projects assigned • Physical ability to stand for hours at a time, lift up to 50 lbs, and be outdoors in summer temperatures for periods of time. • Experience driving a RIB a plus. MYC will train the right candidate. Not Remote Work. Full-Time.
