Job descriptions 1 - Room Attendants also known as Room Attendants and Guest room attendants are responsible for cleaning hotel guest rooms while providing great customer service. They ensure that rooms are cleaned according to operating and quality standards and procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES • Make beds, change linens and towels • Vacuum rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture • Clean bathrooms: toilets, bathtubs, mirrors, mops floors, sinks, and empties trash • Replenish supplies, such as soap and bathroom tissue • Dust and polish furniture and equipment • Other duties as assigned • Maintain a friendly demeanor when interacting with guests, co-workers and property employees • Anticipate the guest's needs and demonstrate service passion • Report lost and found to Internal Supervisor or Hotel Supervisor • Ensure rooms meet the hotel's quality standards • Follow all required safety and standard operating procedures • Follow all company and regulatory policies, procedures and standards of conduct 2- House person, also known as Houseman, ensure the quality and clean facilities throughout the hotel conducting more in-depth cleaning duties. A house person cleans lobbies, halls, guestrooms and bathrooms; stocks guest rooms with towels and linens, furnishings and any other supplies a guest may need or request. Houseperson also vacuum carpets, dust furniture, empty wastebaskets and mop bathroom floors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES 1 • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas so that health standards are met • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers • Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, transport trash and waste to disposal areas • Sweep, scrub, wax, polish floors, using brooms, mops, powered scrubbing and waxing machines • Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy • Polish silver accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittings • Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items • Sort, count, and mark clean linens, and store them in linen closets • Request repair services and wait for repair workers to arrive • Deliver television sets, ironing boards, baby cribs, and rollaway beds to guests' rooms • Hang draperies, and dust window blinds • Move and arrange furniture, and turn mattresses • Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts • Follow all required safety and standard operating procedures • Follow all company and regulatory policies • Other duties as assigned • Maintain a friendly demeanor when interacting with guests, co-workers and property employees • Anticipate the guest's needs and demonstrate service passion • Report lost and found to Internal Supervisor or Hotel Supervisor • Ensure rooms meet the hotel's quality standards • Follow all required safety and standard operating procedures • Follow all company and regulatory policies, procedures and standards of conduct 3- Laundry and dry-cleaning workers clean clothing, linens, drapes, and other articles, using washing, drying, and dry-cleaning machines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1 Laundry attendants participate in the following and other duties as assigned: • Collect or receive soiled linen • Inspect articles for stains and fabrics that require special care • When necessary, workers treat spots and stains on articles before washing or dry-cleaning. • Sort articles to be cleaned by fabric type, color, and cleaning technique • Load and unload laundry and dry-cleaning machines • Adjust machine settings for a given fabric or article, as determined by the cleaning instructions on each item of clothing • Add detergent, bleach, and other chemicals to laundry and dry-cleaning machines • Monitor machines during the cleaning process and ensure that items are not lost or placed with unlike items • Clean and maintain laundry and dry-cleaning machines • Participate in inventory • Report lost and found to Supervisor and or Hotel • Follow all company and regulatory policies, procedures and standards of conduct • This position does not exercise supervisory responsibilities
