ProStaff Solutions is seeking several Hi-Lo operators for a great client in the Bronx, NY 1ST 6 AM – 2:30 PM (Monday-Friday) 3 Needed $16 2ND 1:30 PM – 10 PM (Sunday – Thursday) 3 Needed $16.50 The Hi-Lo Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and count merchandise. The Hi-Lo Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift and may also be required to Order Filler and Checker duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Put-away: Follow instructions from the Warehouse Management System, RF computer to put product away accordingly. Let-down: Follow commands from RF unit to replenish prime locations. Use walkie-talkie to communicate any arising issues with Supervisor. Safely navigate through the warehouse, keep a free accident record. Maintain a clean work environment in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Examine and inspect stock items for defects, report any damages to supervisor. Carefully transport product from one location to another location. Avoid damaging product while navigating through the warehouse. Keep all assigned equipment free of damages. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Prior warehouse experience in a food environment preferred. Able to read and write legibly; able to follow order; able to work with little direct supervision. Ability to operate an electric pallet jack and stand-up forklifts. Ability to work on your feet for most of the day, repetitive bending, lifting up to 50 lbs. and moving 100 lbs. Able to work in cold warehouse environment (36°F – 38°F). Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
