We are searching for a person for the open position of Housekeeping/Janitor--- Cleaner This position is for a commercial building with offices & common areas We are looking for a Cleaner to take care of our facilities and carry out cleaning duties. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition. Responsibilities We are a commercial building consisting of a large office space containing small offices, kitchen, restrooms, halls included in this area. Also several other smaller floors of offices/artist work studios, that do not need individual offices/spaces cleaned, but will need the common halls, restrooms, kitchen, lounge areas Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, break room/kitchenette cleaning, trash etc) Ability to carry supplies & equipment as needed possibly on elevators or up stairs Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs Stock and maintain supply rooms Cooperate with the rest of the staff Follow all health and safety regulations, follow CDC recommendations for cleaning & sanitizing during COVID Skills Proven working experience as a cleaner, minimum 3 years experience in commercial buildings/2 at any given job Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets Integrity, honesty, friendliness Ability to take on daily tasks in line with work lists & needs & work alone to complete tasks without continuous supervision. To be able to schedule areas to be cleaned throughout the week & know which areas are more urgent than others & to be able to schedule the weekdays accordingly.
