Lots of music, so little time

Description

Hello, In May my family and I will be relocating to the Kennett Square area. Prior to COVID19, I was developing a project with a cool group of cats in Atlanta who were really into the original music I create. I’d like to start an ambitious new project in PA in a safe responsible way of course. Proposal 1: I have several hours of newly fleshed out original music, just waiting for other artists to join in and bring these tunes to life. Okay, here we go… I’m looking for a tight, in-the-pocket rhythm section (aren’t we all), capable of creating dynamics and, not afraid of Jazz (bass, drums), horns (trumpet, tuba or sousaphone) and, a percussionist/multi-instrumentalist (hey, I can dream and besides that’s the kind of group I was forming in ATL). I’ve got the guitar and lead vocals covered. At the moment my mood is… The Band / The Meters / Zappa conducted by James Brown and Captain Beefheart. Ha! Proposal 2: I’d also be open to forming or joining a tribute band. Possible ideas include: R.E.M. (a single album or greatest hits), John Lennon non-Beatles material, 90’s grunge radio mix, STP, Tom Petty, Beck, Bill Withers, The Band, or an Eddie Vedder Ukulele songs tribute;) (other suggestions are welcome). Again, I’m guitar and vocals. So, I’m seeking bass, drums, horns & a percussion/multi-instrumentalist. As an art educator, I truly enjoy the collaborative process and appreciate the fact a group like this doesn’t come together overnight, necessarily. I’m also open to the idea of exploring both of these proposals simultaneously, with one possibly feeding into the other. If any of this sounds interesting to you, please let me know. I’m happy to send links to my music upon request. Let’s make some “Southern Gothic Funky Rock?” in Pennsylvania. Cheers, Brett
