General Responsibilities: • Maintaining cleanliness of property, grounds, and all common areas (gym, office, hallways, etc.). Ability to work outdoors for multiple hours at a time including pressure cleaning sidewalks, maintaining parking cleanliness etc. • Assisting with work requests for services on a daily basis and within an established time frame. Work orders will include helping maintenance with general unit repairs and property maintenance. • Assisting with performing unit turns. Duties include replacing blinds, outlet cover plates, doorknobs, bathroom fixtures, closet doors, painting, deep cleaning, and basic unit repairs. • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them. • Demonstrating customer services skills by treating residents and others with respect, responding sensitively to complaints about maintenance services, and completing assigned work orders with efficiency and urgency. • Maintain general landscaping around the property which includes weeding, cutting grass, and trimming scrubs Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent/ Must be able to read and write. • Valid Driver's License • At least 2-3 years of working experience as a porter/groundskeeper at an apartment community • Ability to handle physical workload / be able to lift 50lbs. • Must be able to speak English. ***Must have reliable transportation! Position hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00-am to 5:00-pm. Most weekends off! 90 Day probation periord/1-week vacation after the first year!
