This is also a contract position. Compensation is set at a certain percentage of each job you decide to take. You have the flexibility to take jobs or not as you wish. You will also receive 100% of the tips you earn as well as 100% of holiday fees charged to clients. ***Lastly, work will more than likely start quite slow and build up over time so we ask for your patience during training, meeting clients, and choosing jobs. ******************************** Supurrior Sitting Cat Sitters, Houston's leading cats-only pet sitting service, is looking for cat-crazy, animal loving people to provide cat sitting services for Houston area clients!! Are you looking for a fun way to earn some extra money? Do you want to get paid for hanging out and playing with cats all day? This is the job for you! Supurrior Sitting Cat Sitters provides in-client-home cat sitting services and we are looking for a wonderful addition or two to our team!! See below for duties and requirements! Duties: - Provide food and clean water each visit - Clean up pet waste (litter box and any "spills") each visit - Administer medications to cats, including pills, topical ointments, liquid medications, insulin injections, and subcutaneous fluids (if necessary, and training will be provided) - Light grooming including brushing and nail trims if requested by client and cat is cooperative - General home maintenance including gathering mail, picking up newspapers, watering plants, etc., as well as cleaning cat dishes, sweeping up litter and keeping things generally neat and tidy - Provide clients with detailed updates on the well being of their pet and their home, as well as pictures, by text or email Requirements for this position: - Must have cat care experience, either professionally or personally and know the ins and outs of cat behavior. This is incredibly important. If you just like cats, but have never really become close with them or trained with them - this is not the job for you - MUST be able to work weekends and holidays - ESPECIALLY HOLIDAYS - NO EXCEPTIONS. WE ARE ESPECIALLY IN NEED OVER THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS. Cat visits will take up a good number of hours of your day during the holidays, but there is still plenty of time for family affairs - Must be willing to travel to ALL parts of Houston within the Beltway 8 loop, as well as some areas further outside on the West side. Mileage and gas are not reimbursed as this is a contract position ⁃ MUST have reliable transportation and a reliable, working cell phone with photo capabilities and a data plan ⁃ Must be able to adhere to fairly strict visit time frames. We conduct breakfast visits between 6am and 10am and dinner visits between 5pm and 9pm. Once-a-day visits are more flexible while some twice a day visits require roughly 12 hours between visits - Must be willing and able to pass a thorough background check - Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds and be able to climb stairs easily. Litter is heavy and many of our clients have multi-level homes - Must be available for a client meet-and-greet prior to any services. Meet-and-greets are not paid ⁃ Must have excellent communication skills and must be reliable, honest and trustworthy. These animals are under our care and they are family members to our clients. Hiding anything regarding their care is simply unacceptable ⁃ Must be very detail oriented and able to follow verbal and written instructions to the letter This is an excellent opportunity to earn some extra cash. However this is NOT a job that will pay your rent. I repeat, this is NOT a full-time position that you can live off of. Depending on the number of jobs you accept, you have the opportunity to earn up to $1,000 per month. or more during busy seasons. Our company continues to grow providing more and more opportunities.
