This position would be stationed at our Cape Coral facility in Cape Coral, FL. The Boat House Group has multiple accolades, to include being a Top 100 Dealer. The ideal candidate will have the following necessary qualities: Attention to detail; Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs; Ability to follow a varied list of directions in multiple formats; Basic Marine Yard Technical knowledge; and Valid drivers license The candidate who I really want to meet will also: Is competent and able to execute verbal commands in a timely and accurate manner; Wants to learn the ins and outs of working in a service department and the importance of timing when customers are unable to enjoy the water when their boat is inoperable; Consistently show a positive attitude and be a genuine team player; Dedication to learn and grow quickly; Ability to work on, around and under boats while following safety standards; and Some knowledge and/or ability to learn forklift operation Our team player will have the following essential functions: Communicate with customers and team members professionally and with courtesy. * Complete assigned tasks related to servicing a boat in a timely and safe manner. Tasks will include but are not limited to: preparation for return to customers, pressure washing and scraping boat bottoms as needed, bottom painting of boats as needed, washing service boats for delivery. * When deadlines must be missed, communicate to your manager immediately.* Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with peers and employees in all other business units within the company. * Light Small Forklift operation to unload transport trucks – Training to be provided attending to all safety protocols. * Assisting technicians if needed* Assist in maintaining the professional, clean appearance of the marina/yard, to include but not limited to maintaining public areas.* Attend all assigned meetings, follow all company policies and procedures, and be genuinely pleasant in the workplace toward peers, customers, vendors and any other person who enters the facility. * If this sounds like you, please proceed with applying to this job ad!
