Greendale Police Report: Drug Bust. Stolen Handgun At The Mall

GREENDALE, WI — A traffic stop for speeding turned into a drug arrest Tuesday night, according to the Greenfield Police Department. According to police reports, an adult male was pulled over on Grange Avenue for going 50 mph in a 35 mph zone. A search of the vehicle uncovered 40 grams of marijuana, a scale, baggies, rubber bands and $1,500 in cash. The driver was arrested for Possession with Intent to Deliver and brought to the Milwaukee County Jail. Charges are pending by the District Attorney's office. Stolen Handgun Also on Tuesday, officers responded to an incident at the Southridge Mall, where two men were ejected from the mall by security. One of the men, age 17, was arrested for Possession of a Stolen Handgun. The man was on probation for armed robbery, and one of the conditions of the probation was that he not possess firearms. The man was taken to Milwaukee County Jail, where charges are pending from the D.A.'s Office. Other Notable Police Activity for the week of Feb. 17 to Feb. 23 Two adult males were arrested for using counterfeit credit cards to pay for meals at least five times in the past two years. The subjects were in possession of six counterfeit credit cards.A vehicle was stopped for going 64 mph in a 30 mph zone, and a handgun was located in the vehicle. An adult male was arrested for Carrying a Concealed Weapon and for Possession of Marijuana.An adult male was arrested for Domestic Violence-Strangulation and Disorderly Conduct after holding his girlfriend down and making it difficult for her to breathe. An adult female was arrested for Driving a Stolen Vehicle. According to the Greendale police, during the week of Feb. 17 to Feb. 23, the department: Handled 281 calls for serviceMade six arrests/signed PR bondsWrote 47 citationsIssued 24 written/verbal warnings
