Position Title: Shipping/Receiving Wage: $14-$16/hour Shift: 1st Looking for a new career? Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Pull customer orders and work orders accurately; unloads truck shipments via the forklift - Open packages and physically check in all material - General warehouse cleanup and organization - Sort and place items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code - Assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing station or shipping department - Mark materials with identifying information. - Prepare parcels for mailing/UPS/Fed Ex/Truck Shipment Requirements: - Forklift licensing and/or certification - Experience working in a warehouse, wholesale, or retail environment is preferred. - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other organization employees - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations - Knowledge of internet software; inventory software; manufacturing software; order processing systems; and Word Processing software QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with nearly 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
