Description
KIRKLAND, WA — Neighbors living near Willows Road Northeast should prepare for a nightly closure scheduled to begin March 8, as contractor crews remove some rails and work on a new temporary trail. The closure will be in place from March 8 - 12 at the hairpin corner near where Willows Road Northeast becomes 139th Avenue Northeast, officials said.
(City of Kirkland) The closures are scheduled between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m., and all access should be restored no later than 6 a.m. each morning.
The construction work is part of the Willows Road Regional Trail Connection project, which will provide an interim trail from the Cross Kirkland Corridor to Willows Road. Crews will create an 11-foot-wide path along the east side of the road.
In a news release, Interwest Construction said the closure days may shift, and the latest information will be reflected on the official project page for the Willows Connection.
