Description
WOODBRIDGE, VA — Ham, a 5-year-old dog at the Prince William County Animal Shelter, wants to find a forever home. Ham has been at the shelter for more than 45 days, representatives from the shelter said.
Ham weighs about 75 pounds and is a pit bull terrier mix. At the shelter, he received treatments for skin and hair issues.
"His hair issues persist, but his skin issues seem to be resolving," Ham's description says. "To be frank, poor Ham looks a mess."
Despite his patchy hair, Ham is still an outgoing and friendly dog, the shelter said. He enjoys his baths, treats, walks, and people.
Ham is good with most dogs, but the shelter did not have any information about his previous interactions with cats or children.
The Prince William County Animal Shelter's kennel is open without a need for prior appointments. The shelter is limiting the number of visitors to the kennel at a time, and masks are required.
Anyone with questions about the adoption process can call the shelter at 703-792-6465. The shelter is also accessible over email at [email protected]. The shelter is located at 14807 Bristow Road, Manassas, VA 20112.
