WOODBRIDGE, VA — A new vaccination clinic is coming to Woodbridge this week. The new vaccination clinic will open on March 3 at the site of the former Gander Mountain location near Potomac Mills, according to a presentation by the county executive. The new location will serve residents in the eastern portion of Prince William County, and will have a capacity of more than 100 stations. The clinic is located at 14011 Worth Ave., Woodbridge, VA 22192. The clinic is near Potomac Mills Mall and across the street from the Walmart. According to the county executive's presentation to the Board of County Supervisors on Tuesday, the new vaccine clinic will support pharmacy partners and Prince William Health District efforts. This week from Wednesday to Saturday, Walmart will administer 600 first doses per day at the new site. Walmart's vaccine supply comes from a federally allocated program, and is seperate from the county's vaccine allotment. They will draw from the Prince William Health District's section of the state's vaccine waitlist. On Saturday, the new clinic will also administer second doses. The site will administer 1,152 second doses to residents. All of Prince William's vaccination clinics require residents register to ensure eligibility. None of the county's vaccine sites are accepting walk-ups at this time. Virginia is currently in phase 1b of its vaccine rollout program. Eligible groups include essential workers, people aged 65 and older, and people with preexisting medical conditions. All Virginia residents can register for the vaccine waitlist now, regardless of their eligibility. Those without internet access can also call the state's hotline at 877-VAX-IN-VA, or 877-829-4682.
