Job Summary The Education Program Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and strategic growth of Belong! After School and Summer Enrichment programs. This individual will take on coordination of logistics, volunteers, budgetary expenditures, contract compliance with partner organizations and program evaluation to ensure high standards and quality programming. This individual will support the expansion and enhancement of Belong! program services and will report to the Director of Programs and Engagement. This is a full-time position with some flexibility to work remotely and flexible hours. Duties and Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of after-school and summer enrichment programs, including logistics, budgets, volunteers, resources, contracts, and program evaluation.Recruit, train, resource and support volunteers to provide high quality tutoring for students. Collaborate with school leadership and liaisons to develop after school and summer programs that achieve mutually-agreed-upon academic goals and appropriate assessments for measuring success.Provide creative educational materials and supplies to create a fun learning environment for tutors and students.Coordinate with office administrator to use and maintain volunteer database and to develop registration processes for all youth education programs.Help recruit and supervise 2 summer interns to provide administrative and organizational support for the summer enrichment camp.Research and implement collaborative opportunities with community or government organizations to provide additional educational, recreational, service and enrichment activities for students (i.e. soccer clinics, reading clinic, possible field trips with tutors, etc).Work with Director of Programs and Engagement and Scholarship Committee to imagine, design, and develop Belong!s Scholarship Program to support children at various ages with monies for further education. Oversee application process once scholarships are made available.Collaborate with school parent liaison to put on parent classes that support parenting and their children’s education.Manage the expansion of Belong educational programs to other schools.Prepare monthly program reports including number of students and volunteers involved in program and any success stories to share with funders/public.Occasionally work weekends or evenings as needed. Required Skills/Abilities: Enthusiastically affirms the values, vision, and mission of Belong!. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in education, child development or related field 3-5 years teaching or equivalent experience. Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and encourage others. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook). Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, creatively and collegially with peers, volunteers, clientele, and other stakeholders within the community. Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently. Demonstrated resourcefulness and good judgment. Spanish language fluency. Familiarity with the Vienna community and Fairfax County a plus, not a requirement.
