MANASSAS, VA — A man died after his motorcycle crashed near the intersection of Sudley Road and Catharpin Road on Sunday night. The victim, Chad Eldridge Caldwell, 43, of Haymarket, died at a nearby hospital from injuries suffered in the crash.
Investigators with Prince William County's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the crash on Sunday night. They determined a single-vehicle crash occurred as a motorcycle was driving northbound on Catharpin Road, near Sudley Road, according to a news release from the police department.
Caldwell was driving a 2008 Harley Davidson Night Train motorcycle when he failed to stop at a stop sign, police said. He then crossed both lanes of Sudley Road and struck an embankment on the other side of the intersection.
