We are a Pacific Northwest book printer located in Centralia, Washington. We work with authors to help bring their books to life! We print for authors of all genres and styles, meaning no two books are the same. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our fast-paced, hard-working team as a Production Specialist. Description: Production Specialist is responsible for contributing to the production team by completing different stages of the book printing process including printing, cutting, binding, trimming, and boxing. Examples of tasks but not limited to: - Operate a variety of book production equipment including printers, cutters, binders and 3-knife trimmers. - Cut paper stock, cut book blocks, bind books, and trim bound books, all while checking quality of completed work. - Ensure printers are setup correctly prior to starting any print job and oversee the printing process including examining final prints to ensure they are free of defects. - Think critically about each stage of the process and analyze the product for accuracy and optimal product output. - Prioritize daily workload. - Maintain equipment on a regular schedule. - You will be hands-on, on-the-move using various printing/assembly equipment on a daily basis. Required: - Learn and retain new skills quickly - Strong multi-tasker and ability to manage time - Excellent communication skills - Detail-oriented with a professional attitude - Mechanical aptitude - No bindery experience required. On the job training expected. - Ability to lift up to 60lbs Compensation: 32-40hrs Mon-Fri.
