Earn more than $4000/month in the Best job in town! Top ranked charter company needs a part time or full time employee for our fun boats for Private Sandbar, Sightseeing, and Snorkel charters. Guaranteed salary, plus extra hourly rate, plus TIPS! You can earn more than $4000 during busy months (working 40 hours per week)! Here's how it works. You are guaranteed a minimum of $1800 for 72 hours each month, plus $25/hour for extra hours, plus tips. Expect to work 30-40 hours per week most busy weeks. The total of 40 hours per week in one month equals $4000 (PLUS TIPS). During a slow month, you would still be guaranteed the minimum salary. Busy/seasonal weeks, Weekends and holidays are required. Most charters start at 10AM, but may occasionally start at 8/9AM. Most charters finish by 6pm but may last until sunset. Holidays=bonus pay. Peak times are March-Oct, Thanksgiving week, and Christmas week through Jan 15. Must be great with customers, professional, and reliable. No "keyz disease please." We run a clean, professional operation that all our customers love. JOB REQUIREMENTS - Although being the Captain is your number 1 duty, there are some other tasks when you are not aboard the boat, shown below: Captain 21' to 32' 6-pack vessels Cleaning before/after charter Answering customer calls/scheduling excursions, when not on a charter Scheduling & meeting mechanic/vendor for maintenance/service Occasionally helping with large group charters as Mate or Host Occasional business-related errands Grocery pickup food/beverages to customers may be required for some charters MUST HAVES: Ready to start ASAP Reliable vehicle Great phone/communication skills Great customer service skills and personality Live in or near Islamorada/Key Largo Familiar with waterways and local venues/attractions around Islamorada (although we can teach you our route) Valid Captain's license Master USCG is a plus
