In this traditional taxidermy class you'll learn how to mount a coyote shoulder mount alongside taxidermy artist Nicole Baldelli.
In this one day taxidermy class, you'll be learning how to prep and mount a coyote shoulder mount on a plaque. We'll be going over all the skills to professionally prepare a wet tanned skin and use a taxidermy quality form to mount our coyotes on. While this class is perfect for beginners looking to start a career or hobby in taxidermy, this class is also great for someone looking to further their craft.
Where: Lone Fox Taxidermy in Sterling, MA.
When: Saturday July 3rd, 2020 Class runs 9am-5pm
Who: Working alongside licensed taxidermist Nicole Baldelli. She is the owner of the businesses Nikki Deerest Novelty Taxidermy and Lone Fox Taxidermy. She has over 5 years of taxidermy experience and a wide range of background with art and animals.
Details: This class welcomes ages 13+ with a signed consent form, please keep in mind we work with sharp objects. Ages 18+ do not require a consent form.
What's included: All basic supplies needed to complete your taxidermy piece including professional quality taxidermy form, earliners, and glass eyes. I'll also provide a small variety of plaques to mount them on. We will also provide some light refreshments.
Class sizes are limited to 3 students to allow proper social distancing guidelines. Masks are required while inside. Please be prepared to bring a lunch.
***No animals used for my classes are harmed for the purpose of taxidermy. The coyotes harvested for this class were hunted locally as they destroy the livestock on neighboring farms. We have put them to use in this training workshop so that they are not wasted.
