Armed Robbery In Herndon Neighborhood Under Investigation

HERNDON, VA — Town of Herndon Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Sunday in the 1200 block of Springtide Place, according to the weekly crime report. An unknown person approached the victims, showed a firearm, and demanded they hand over their money. The suspect assaulted one of the victims and then fled the area with the victim's purse. This case remains under investigation. Between Feb. 15 and Feb. 21, Town of Herndon police officers issued 77 traffic summonses, including two for driving while intoxicated, three for driving with no operator's license, and five for driving on a suspended or revoked license. There were five reportable traffic accidents in Herndon. Virginia State Police define "reportable crashes" as those that result in $1,500 in property damage and/or injury.
